Help Protect People and Property from Fire with NFPA 25, Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems (2023) Online Training Series.
Fire moves fast, and people need time to escape a fire safely. Water-based fire protection systems can help provide people with more time and play a key role in harm reduction when a building catches fire. It’s vital those systems perform as intended to help minimize loss and keep the building’s assets and occupants safer.
This innovative and engaging training will help you learn critical information on the inspection, testing, and maintenance (ITM) of water-based fire protection systems.
This online series provides three hours of training worth 0.3 continuing education units (CEUs) and features the following topics:
- Comprehensive overview and scope of NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems
- Identification of roles and responsibilities in ITM of water-based fire protection systems
- How to apply the standard’s requirements to ensure system readiness, perform testing, and address impairments
- ITM requirements, including those for general systems, wet pipe systems, dry pipe systems, preaction systems, and deluge systems
This self-paced online training series covers everything you need to know about inspecting, testing, and maintaining water-based fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, fire pumps, water tanks, and other system components.
Broken into three parts, this deep dive into NFPA 25 will help you build confidence and gain the necessary knowledge to keep those who depend on fire protection systems safe. The training incorporates videos, interactive exercises, case studies, knowledge checks, and downloadable resources to clearly and concisely present key information and reinforce the knowledge gained.
Upon completion of the series, you should be able to:
- Describe the components of water-based fire suppression systems, including fire sprinklers, fire pumps, water tanks, and other system components
- Define and identify examples of impairments, critical deficiencies, and non-critical deficiencies
- Identify ITM activities to be conducted on a scheduled basis (weekly, monthly, etc.) and for unscheduled events such as emergency impairments
Learn from the best. Get training from the authority source to help recognize risks and mitigate building, asset, and life loss due to fire.
The NFPA 25, ITM of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Online Training Series can benefit anyone who needs to understand the components, roles, and responsibilities of fire protection systems, and how and when to apply requirements and perform ITM activities on systems so they function at an optimal level.
