    Written for organizations that evaluate the risks faced by emergency responders and their particular needs for life safety rope and equipment, NFPA 1858 fills an information gap in many communities nationwide. It is the first Standard that specifies the minimum selection, care, and maintenance requirements for life safety rope and equipment that are compliant with NFPA 1983, Standard on Life Safety Rope and Equipment for Emergency Services.

    Provisions enable users to provide effective inspection, maintenance, and care for equipment including:
