    2015 Edition

Deliver fire service training for fast and efficient emergency scene operations with the 2015 NFPA 1410.

NFPA 1410, Standard on Training for Initial Emergency Scene Operations provides fire departments with an objective method of measuring performance for initial fire suppression and rescue procedures using available personnel and equipment. It specifies basic evolutions that can be adapted to local conditions and serves as a standard mechanism for the evaluation of minimum acceptable performance for hose line and water supply activities during training for initial fire attack.

A new chapter on fire behavior provides the rationale behind training on certain evolutions related to fire ground operations.

This important new chapter in the 2015 edition of NFPA 1410 helps personnel understand why the evolutions are being performed, so they can see the direct application of training in the real world. This will help fire departments ensure their teams are proficient for operations and better educated in fire behavior.

Every fire service training instructor, company officer, and chief officer needs NFPA 1410 as a tool to help ensure public safety and effective fire response. (Print, 26 pp., 2015)
