    Understand water-based fire protection strategies through this comprehensive training program based on the 2019 edition of NFPA 13, Installation of Sprinkler Systems. Hands-on exercises and classroom discussion led by industry experts share new concerns, vital fundamentals, and the knowledge required for comprehensive understanding of top-quality installations. You'll be more confident and efficient in your designs, installations, and analysis through interactive instruction that engages participants in the full range of NFPA 13 application -- including occupancy and commodity hazard classification updates, an area of the Standard that was extensively revised for the 2019 edition. Shift from the classroom to the lab to experience:

    • Demonstrations on different sprinkler types and key factors
    • Wet pipe and dry pipe demonstrations/explanations
    • Hydraulic calculations in action -- from paper to piping
    • Demonstrations on the impact of obstructions on sprinklers

    • Select the appropriate design approach for a given scenario
    • Identify and select specific criteria that comprises NFPA 13 compliant design approach
    • Determine minimum water supply requirements
    • Identify the minimum working plan requirements
    • Identify basic hydraulic principles and how those principles impact a given system
