NFPA 13: Fire Sprinkler System Components and Other Hanging and Bracing Requirements-—based on the 2016 NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems—provides you with a greater understanding of the acceptable types of system components including hanging and bracing. The training also covers the installation requirements for sprinkler system components, including piping, valves, waterflow devices, and hangers and braces.
Upon completion you should be able to:
- Understand and identify component hardware and requirements.
- Understand and identify the different sprinkler types.
- Explain requirements for hanging and bracing including bracing components and couplings.
- Describe how various sprinklers, pipe, valves, and water flow devices are used in aboveground applications.
- List the requirements for using sprinklers in a given special situation.
- Identify common factors influencing hanger installation.
- Explain the principles of sprinkler system earthquake protection through seismic bracing and restraint.
- Describe the most common key issues for seismic bracing.
