    Who Will Benefit:
    Anyone involved in electrical safety in Kentucky will benefit, including:
    electricians, electrical system designers, electrical engineers, electrical contractors, electrical inspectors, safety engineers, safety managers, installation and maintenance professionals, HVAC installers, manufacturers, facility maintenance personnel, mechanical engineers, plant managers, risk managers, and project managers.

    Continuing Education Credit:
    Complete this 6-hour course series and qualify for .6 CEUs. Completion of each 1-hour course qualifies you for 0.1 CEU. Upon successful completion of a course or the course series, participants will be prompted to download the CEU certificate directly from the course site. Please verify applicability with your professional board or organization before registering.

    The individual course series offers the following: NFPA 70: Changes to the NEC 2017 Edition (16 hours/1.6 CEUs), NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (2018) (7 hours/.7 CEUs).;

    Agency:
    The Department of Housing, Building and Construction of Kentucky requires 6 hours or .6 CEUS relating to the NEC® or other electrical codes incorporated into the Kentucky Building Code or the Kentucky Residential Code or to safety practices and procedures. Only two (2) of the six (6) hours shall be safety practices and procedures. Based on Kentucky Administrative Regulation 815 KAR 2:010 titled as 'Continuing Education Requirements' continuing education training is required as follows:

    • For master electricians, electricians, and electrical inspectors, the continuing education course shall relate to one (1) or more of the following:
      • Job safety (2 hours maximum)
      • Codes related to the electrical industry
      • Subject matter directly related to the electrical trade
    • For electrical contractors, the continuing education course shall relate to one (1) or more of the following:
      • Business
      • Job safety (2 hours maximum)

    Terms:

    • Course Tuition: The course tuition is due and payable before starting each module.
    • Expiration: Participants will need to take the online courses or series within 180 days.
    • CEUs: You earn 0.1 CEU for each learning hour. To verify total numbers of CEUs for a course or a series, please check the Description tab. Upon successful completion of a course or a series, participants will be able to download the CEUs certificate directly from the website. Please verify applicability with your professional board or organization.
    • Online Training is non-refundable.
