Connecticut is updating to the 2021 NFPA 101 along with state-specific amendments. Help improve safety and better ensure compliant buildings and structures by referencing the 2022 Connecticut State Fire Safety Code. This publication contains NFPA 101 with state-specific amendments interlineated throughout the text and shaded to indicate changes to the base code.
Updates to the current edition include:
- Expanded sprinkler requirements for existing high-rise buildings containing ambulatory health care, business, industrial, or apartment building occupancies
- Revised construction limits for existing nursing homes
- New requirements for temporary barriers to separate areas under construction in health care and ambulatory health care occupancies
- New carbon monoxide detection requirements for existing hotels and dormitories
- Expanded provisions covering burglar bars/grates on means of escape windows in residential occupancies
