A high level of proficiency with the NFPA® Fire Protection Handbook® is crucial to your success on the Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS®) examination.
The 2-volume Fire Protection Handbook (FPH®) provides the body of knowledge for the examination. The CFPS Primer Course, while not a test prep classroom training, does offer practical instruction that will help you quickly locate specific facts within the encyclopedic handbook. If you are serious about your career in fire protection, the globally recognized CFPS credential serves as a distinguished mark of achievement within an ever-changing, crowded, and highly competitive global field.
The CFPS Certification Exam is available as a computer-based exam at approved testing centers around the world or as a written proctored exam in conjunction with the CFPS Classroom Training. Candidates may bring only published hardcopy books to the exam. Prequalification is required to sit for the examination.
