The five-day CFI-I Live Virtual Training program is based on the job requirements found in Chapter 4 of NFPA 1031, Standard for Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner, 2014 edition. This course will help the participants to perform their jobs, and along with additional study, assist them in preparing for the CFI-I certification examination.

The course will familiarize participants with:
- The responsibilities of a fire inspector and the knowledge required to perform the job
- Fire and life safety principles and how they are applied
- The use and application of NFPA codes and standards
- Requirements for fire alarm and suppression systems
- Requirements associated with the storage, handling, and use of hazardous materials
- Requirements associated with the storage, handling, and use of flammable and combustible liquids and gases
CFI-I Certification Application and Examination Scheduling
You may wish to schedule your certification exam following completion of this course. NFPA encourages you to begin your certification application process as soon as you complete the course registration.
The CFI-I certification exam is available as a computer-based test at Prometric testing centers around the world. You may bring only NFPA published hardcopy of the NFPA code set reference books to the exam. Who Will Benefit:

Continuing Education Credit:
Earn 25 hours or 2.5 Continuing Education Units. Attendance is required to earn CEUs. Please verify applicability with your professional board or organization before attending.
