CFI-I Fire Growth and Fire Prevention Online Training provides candidates with foundational knowledge about fire growth and fire prevention that will support their understanding of key concepts related to fire suppression systems, fire detection systems, and fire extinguishers. It introduces learners to core fire behavior concepts and provides an overview of the conditions, materials, and finishes, furnishings, and fuel packages that present hazardous fire growth potential. This course also provides an overview of the components of fire prevention.
Upon completion you should be able to:
- Describe the core fire behavior concepts, including the process of ignition, fuel arrangement and load, and heat transfer
- Explain the factors that impact fire development
- Recognize hazardous fire growth potential
- Identify methods of fire prevention
Who Will Benefit:
Anyone with the roles and responsibilities of Fire Inspector I—particularly those planning to take the CFI-I certification examination, as well as fire service professionals, code officials, AHJs, insurance professionals, and others expected to maintain this certification as part of their employment requirements.
